Regular Events in Milan
Epiphany on 6 January. The Epiphanyis traditionally celebrated with a parade of the Three Kings. The parade begins at the Milan Cathedral and ends at the Church Sant'Eustorgio.

Milan Marathon StraMilano

Milano City Marathon, Sunday in April
The international marathon leads through the whole downtown Milan, beginning from the new Fiera Rho to the city center. Usually the day is a car-free Sunday, so runners and spectators can move freely.

Liberation Day 25 April
This holiday celebrates the liberation of Italy from fascism. There are political rallies and street parties.
Pentecost is no holiday in Italy. Whit Monday is business day and the shops are open regularly.

The Giro d'Italia of cycling professionals traditionally terminates in Milan with the time trials.

This holiday of the patron saint Ambrose only exists in Milan. The surrounding area is business day. Most shops are open in the Christmas shopping fever.
On the evening of the celebration day of St. Ambrose the new season of La Scala opens. Tickets for the premiere go mostly to celebrities from politics, economy and culture.
